In October 1998, a 21-year-old student from the University of Wyoming was kidnapped, beaten, and left to die on a fence in the middle of a Laramie, Wyoming prairie. His name was Matthew Shepard. Moisés Kaufman and fellow members of Tectonic Theater Project visited Laramie and conducted more than 200 interviews with the people of the town. The result from Kaufman and the Tectonic Theater Project members is a deeply moving theatrical collage exploring the depths to which humanity can sink and the heights of compassion of which we are capable.

The Center for Immigrant Resources & Community Arts (CIRCA) and Pintig Cultural Group present another ensemble work of different stories reflecting a variety of issues from our collective day-to-day lives. Two characters from an epic novel by Philippine's hero-novelist debate about revolution and sacrifice, a young woman confronts the pain of a childhood past, a migrant caregiver receives an emergency long distance call from home while feeding a helpless elderly, an undocumented alien gathers her thoughts after getting arrested for deportation, an incident of identity theft opens up a mystery of human connection, a man panics after getting trapped inside his apartment during a bizarre power outage, four women exchange candid comparisons of who gets to adopt the best child from yet another impoverished third world country. These are human voices assembled in a collage of new works and works-in-progress from new and emerging playwrights presented in Short Acts: Life is a series of shorts.
Featuring the works of Dan Finley, Larry Leopoldo, Lani Montreal, Ruth Palileo, Louie Pascasio and Lorely Trinidad

Love Makes a Family is a museum-quality traveling exhibit including photographs and interviews with families that have lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) members. Through first-person accounts and positive images, this exhibit seeks to challenge and change damaging myths and stereotypes about LGBT people and their families.
At the most basic level, Love Makes A Family combats homophobia by breaking silence and making the invisible visible. By encouraging people of all ages - beginning in early childhood - to affirm and appreciate diversity, this traveling rental exhibit contributes to the process of dismantling the destructive power of prejudice and intolerance, thereby making the world a safer place for all families.
Designed for audiences of all ages, Love Makes a Family challenges stereotypes about LGBT people and helps dismantle homophobia. The photo-text rental exhibit consists of framed photographs and text. The companion book, Love Makes a Family (published by the University of Massachusetts Press) was named the Best Book about Gay and Lesbian Issues by the Association of Independent Publishers. Sundays in June 2008, 2pm-5pm

FOREVER PLAID centers on four young, eager male singers killed in a car crash in the 1950s on the way to their first big concert, and now miraculously revived for the posthumous chance to fulfill their dreams and perform the show that never was. Singing in the closest of harmony, squabbling boyishly over the smallest intonations and executing their charmingly outlandish choreography with over-zealous precision, the “Plaids” are a guaranteed smash, with a program of beloved songs and delightful patter that keeps audiences rolling in the aisles when they're not humming along to some of the great nostalgic pop hits of the '50s, including Catch a Falling Star, Day-O, Sixteen Tons & Love is a Many Splendored Thing.
